Got old or used nicotine vapes piling up? Don't toss them in the trash — dispose of them safely and for free at one of four convenient collection sites in the Springfield, Missouri area during the DEA's National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

  • When: Saturday, April 25, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

  • Where:

    • Springfield-Greene County Library District, Republic Branch — 921 N Lindsey Ave, Republic, MO

    • Alps Pharmacy — 2650 W Kearney, Springfield, MO

    • Sam's Club — 745 W El Camino Alto St, Springfield, MO

    • Mercy Pharmacy — 1965 S. Fremont Ave, Springfield, MO

  • What's accepted: These sites will collect nicotine vapes, e-cigarettes, cartridges, and pods in addition to the unused or expired prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs, and controlled substances typically accepted at DEA Take-Back Day events. Cannabis/THC vape products will not be accepted.

  • How to prepare your vapes: Place all devices, cartridges, and pods in a sealed plastic zip-lock bag before dropping them off. This helps ensure safe handling and containment of any residual nicotine or battery leakage.
