The Ozarks Headwaters Recycling & Materials Management District 2019 grant call just wrapped up. We received twenty grant applications this year, setting a record for our district!
The Grant Evaluation Committee met on January 11th to review and score all applications. This was a highly competitive year and the committee members certainly had their work cut out for them. The total requested funding was $660,013.59, but OHRD only had $183,830.42 in funds to distribute. After much consideration, eleven applications made the final cut. They will be submitted to the OHRD board for approval on February 22nd. After that, they will be sent to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for final approval.
OHRD is thankful to all of the applicants who submitted proposals. Each application was thorough and each project would contribute to waste reduction efforts throughout our district. We look forward to hearing from these applicants again in the future.
